There's one project that holds a special place in my portfolio: the website for SMthe creative agency where I worked for over 6 years. Not everyone gets to build the digital home for their own employer — and when they handed me that responsibility, I didn't take it lightly.
What did I build?
A full corporate site on WordPress + Elementor Probut with one important distinction: it wasn't a single site — it was three versions of the same one, each optimized for a different market:
- 🇲🇽 Mexico
- 🇪🇸 Spain
- 🇨🇴 Colombia
Every version adapted to its local market, with its own content approach and, most importantly, with thorough technical SEO work on each one. URL structure, metadata, hreflang tags for geographic targeting, page speed, heading hierarchy — nothing left to chance.
Why does SEO matter in this case?
What I learned here
Building the website for your own workplace forces you to understand the business from the inside out. I knew the services, the clients, the brand voice — and that translated into a site that didn't just look good, but communicated exactly what the agency was.
